CHALLENGES: The planning is based on an urban plan created in collaboration with the City of Seinäjoki. It was important to take into account the opinions of landowners, the need for large individual rowhouse apartments, and the efficient utilization of the adjacent river when designing the courtyards.
SOLUTIONS: The building is gently curved to follow the nearby river, and the individuality of the rowhouse apartments is emphasized with visual breaks that delineate terraces. These solutions also provide privacy and visual screening in the courtyards. The apartments are designed to be high-quality, resembling urban townhouse features, and each one is tailored to the preferences of the resident.
